Buku ini merupakan sebuah antologi yang memuat narasi analitis dinamika antara 3 variabel utama, yakni dakwah, millenial dan media sosial. Pengantar buku ini diawali dengan pembahasan mengenai fenomena post-truth yang saat ini sering ditemukan pada komunikasi melalui kanal media sosial ditengah masyarakat. Post-truth digambarkan sebagai keadaan dimana fakta-fakta yang objektif tidak mampu mempengaruhi opini publik melainkan lebih mengedepankan emosi dan kepercayaan pribadi. Hal yang saat ini banyak terjadi di kanal media sosial dimana setiap individu dapat mengemukakan opininya berdasarkan fakta atau realitas kebenaran menurut penafsiran pribadi. Sayangnya banyak dari opini tersebut ditelan mentah-mentah tanpa verifikasi (tabayyun).

 

Selanjutnya buku ini membahas mengenai pemanfaatan media sosial online untuk berbagai kebutuhan, khususnya dalam menyampaikan ide dan pesan yang berkaitan dengan dakwah keislaman. Melalui media sosial, dakwah yang bertujuan untuk menyampaikan (tabligh) risalah atau pesan ilahiah dengan menggunakan kata-kata dilakukan menggunakan metode audio maupun visual. Dakwah secara online memungkinkan untuk menjangkau audiens yang lebih luas tanpa batasan ruang dan waktu. Meskipun dirasa besar manfaatnya, namun media sosial online membawa sejumlah permasalahan baru yang sebelumnya belum ditemukan pada media sosial analog. Permasalahan utama terletak pada disinformasi konten-konten media dakwah yang berasal dari sumber yang tidak kredibel.

 

Buku ini memberi pesan agar media sosial harus dikelola secara bijak melalui pemilihan sumber informasi yang akurat dan terpercaya serta penggunaan bahasa dan kosakata yang tepat, untuk memastikan bahwa infomasi dakwah yang akan disebarkan dapat diterima secara baik oleh target dakwah.

Corak kontemporer tidak membatasi Batik Betawi untuk tampil selaras dengan kebaya berdesain cantik dan elegan, dilengkapi dengan cara berkain yang mudah namun apik, aplikasi riasan wajah dan tatanan rambut, serta pilihan aksesoris yang tepat. Buku ini hadir untuk menginspirasi siapapun agar tampil menawan dan bersahaja dengan padu padan Batik Betawi dan kebaya khas Indonesia yang penuh warna.
