The Director of the National Library of Indonesia Joins the Birth of Pancasila Ceremony Online
Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo presided over the Birth of Pancasila Commemoration ceremony online via video conference on Monday (6/1). The ceremony which was centered at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, was attended simultaneously by all leaders of state institutions, Ministers and Heads of LPNK Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, representatives of the Republic of Indonesia abroad, and a number of regional heads. On the same occasion, Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, also participated in the virtual ceremony accompanied by the Officials of Primary and Associate High Leaders. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held while still heeding the health protocol.
In his mandate, President Joko Widodo conveyed that the Commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila which was held in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic was a condition that tested our fighting spirit as a nation, sacrifice, discipline, compliance, and calm in taking quick and appropriate policy steps. "In facing this test, we are grateful that Pancasila remains a cornerstone to move our unity in overcoming all challenges, moving a sense of caring to share, and fostering a struggle in overcoming every difficulty and challenge we face," he said.
The President invited all state administrators from the central to the regions to continue to strengthen alignments for people who are experiencing difficulties, serving the community without discriminating groups, races and religions. "The values of Pancasila must be realized and become the living and working values in life, work in government policies and decisions, and become values that continue to surge in the spirit of Indonesian people," he continued.
With the theme "Pancasila in Action through Mutual Assistance towards Advanced Indonesia" which was raised in the commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila this year became very relevant to the situation and conditions amid the Covid-19 pandemic. On this occasion, the Head of State also invited all Indonesian people to strengthen the ties of unity and brotherhood. Also to help each other, work together and always optimistic that our nation is a winning nation in facing every challenge that is coming.
"The challenges we are facing are not easy. This year and even next year, we will still face difficult situations. Situations that require our struggle as a nation, which requires hard work so that we can get through the difficult time," he said.
