Enrekang Regency Needs Additional Special Allocation Funds
Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - Library can be a building of pride in the region. This was raised and conveyed by Enrekang Regency DPRD, South Sulawesi, when meeting the National Library representatives on Wednesday (30/10). In addition, Commission 3 DPRD of Enrekang Regency also wanted to know about the continuation of facility assistance provided by National Library.
The Head of Library Development Center and Reading Interest Assessment (P3MB) for National Library Deny Kurniadi explained that National Library's support to the regions is very strong. This is evidenced from the portion of APBN received by National Library which totals more than IDR 700 billion, half of which is specifically allocated to regions, such as grant assistance and special allocation funds (DAK).
Deputy Chairman of Enrekang Regency DPRD Abdurrahman Zulkarnaen consulted about the DAK assistance. "We hope that Enrekang will get another DAK because the need for library development is still not enough. We plan to expand the library utilization to districts and villages," he said.
As information, in 2019 Enrekang Regency has received a DAK allocation of IDR 10 billion. From this portion, Enrekang has distributed it, including to a number of boarding schools. Meanwhile, for DAK 2020, Enrekang Regency will not accept it because the government has decided on the next receiving regions. However, for 2021, the National Library welcomes Enrekang to follow up again.
