Director of National Library Receives Visit from Kazakhstan Ambassador Daniyar Sarenekov
Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, received a visit from the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia, Daniyar Sarekenov, in National Library Services Building Head Meeting Room, Wednesday (10/2). During the visit, it discussed the cooperation that would be carried out between National Library and Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Indonesia, Daniyar Sarekenov, said the existence of library has an important role in protecting the culture of a country. Likewise, the National Library of Indonesia can be a place to preserve and care for Indonesian culture.
During his visit, Daniyar expressed his desire to collaborate with the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. Among them, by opening the Kazakhstan Literature Corner, this activity has already been realized at the National Library of Malaysia. "I look forward to work with the National Library of Indonesia to introduce the culture of Kazakhstan to Indonesian people," Daniyar explained.
Meanwhile, Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, welcomed the cooperation that would be carried out with the Kazakhstan Embassy for Indonesia. "Previously we have also cooperated with Oman and Iran to hold exhibitions at the National Library. We also hope to work with Kazakhstan to conduct exhibition here," he said.
