Musi Rawas Regency Proposes Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for Library Building in 2021

Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - After throwing off its status as a underdeveloped regency on 30 July 2019, Musi Rawas Regency Government continues to move to intensify the development from various sectors. The forming of literacy and creating superior people are a concern of Musi Rawas Regency Government. Library and reading mother are spearhead of the program. The construction of library building through Special Allocation Fund (DAK) becomes one agenda to be achieved by Musi Rawas Regency Government.

"We intend to propose DAK for library building construction in 2021. We have also prepared land in the former Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) location. The library location is in a congested and crowded area," said the Head of Library and Archives Service Office of Musi Rawas Regency, Supriyadi, in the presence of Deputy of Library Resources Development, Woro Titi Haryanti, Thursday (3/13).

Head of Library Development and Reading Interest Study Center (P3MB), Deni Kurniadi, reminded that the land for building construction must be at least one hectare or 10,000 square meters and must be equipped with Detailed Engineering Design (DED). "The budget for preparing the DED uses the Regional Revenue and Expenditures Budget (APBD). Please propose it because by mid 2020, it should have been determined which regions get the DAK," explained Deni.

Meanwhile, Head of Public and Special Library Division, Nurhadisaputra, explained that ideally the building location is in an empty land. But, if it has been determined, the National Library of Indonesia requested the matter of asset write-off could be completed this year. "You need to take care of it immediately because it will take time," explained Nurhadi.
