Facilities and Infrastructures at Malang Library Requires Renewal

Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - Malang Municipality Library received the most visits in East Java in 2019 and its book collection is also the third most complete in East Java. However, facilities and infrastructure at Malang Library are deemed unrepresentative for visitors to visit. This was conveyed by Head of Library Services and Development of Malang, Ahmad Supriyadi at National Library, Wednesday (19/2).

"Facilities and infrastructures of Malang library are limited, the infrastructure is also like a museum because it is no longer able to support visitor activities," Ahmad said.

Answering the concern, Head of Public and Special Libraries Development Division, Nurhadisaputra, explained in detail the method for submitting Special Allocation Fund (DAK) proposal.

"Submission of DAK proposals for 2021 can be carried out from February to June 2020 through Krisna application. Inside there are 6 menus namely building construction, building expansion, building renovation, collection, ICT, and furniture. For building construction menus, it must be completed with land certificate and Detailed Engineering Design (DED)," explained Nurhadi.
