Kuningan, Jakarta - Data from Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2019 reported that one in four people in Indonesia are youths. This fact is not just good news but also a big challenge for youths in Indonesia. Coinciding with a decade of Mata Najwa, in early 2020, through the initiation of Narasi, Najwa Shihab established Gerakan Indonesia Butuh Anak Muda (IBAM) at Ciputra Entrepreneur, Wednesday (19/2). IBAM Movement is a movement of young people to be invited to jointly make changes for a better Indonesia in the future. And National Library of Indonesia, as part of the locomotive of nation's intelligence programme, is not lagging behind in participating by opening information stand related to digital services, such as membership service, e-book, e-resources, iPusnas, and exhibitions of several collections of Memory of the World (MoW) -Negarakertagama and Naskah Panji.
At least 400 member cards have been prepared by National Library to anticipate the enthusiasm of visitors who are all young people. At service outlet, National Library provided a variety of interesting souvenirs for visitors, such as MoW-edition comics, scarfs, and exclusive t-shirts. And the special one was Indonesian Reading Ambassador who is also the founder of Narasi TV Najwa Shihab had the opportunity to drop by to National Library's booth and give 'Literacy Greeting'.
In the evening a decade-long Mata Najwa talk show was held presenting various figures and public figures, including Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama, Minister of BUMN Eric Thohir, Vice Governor of East Java Emil Dardak, and writer/musician Fiersa Besari. On the same occasion, Prime Secretary of National Library of Sri Sumekar together with Deputy of Library Resources Development Woro Titi Haryanti, Head of Library Development and Reading Interest Study Centre (P3MB) Deni Kurniadi, and Head of Reading Interest Socialisation Nani Suryani had the opportunity to attend the live talk show.
