Support for Library Development from Minister of Home Affairs to be Followed Up
Pancoran, Jakarta - A number of positive messages were conveyed by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian when he opened National Coordination Meeting on Library 2020. One of the big messages was the support of library development at sub-district and village / kelurahan levels both sourced from regional budget and non-governmental organisations in order to facilitate access to material reading service and build literacy culture.
"Please follow up and be of mutual concern," advised Director of National Library of Indonesia, Muhammad Syarif Bando, said when closing National Coordination Meeting on Library 2020 in Jakarta on Thursday (27/2).
On the occasion, winners of banner competition, literacy product exhibitions, and library services with best deconcentration performance were also presented. The winners of banner competition, including best winner 1 is Library and Archives Office of East Lombok Regency, best winner 2 is Library Office of Tebing Tinggi Municipality, best winner 3 is Library and Archives Office of North Lombok Regency.
Meanwhile the winner of literacy product exhibition, with the criteria of creativity, beauty and suitability of exhibition content, was won by Archives and Library Office of Boyolali Regency as best winner 1, Library and Archives Office of Pandeglang Regency as the best 2, and Library and Archives Office of Gunung Kidul Regency as the best 3.
Library office with best deconcentration performance, including the best 1 Library and Archives Office of Central Sulawesi, the best 2 Archives and Library Office of Gorontalo, the best 3 Library and Archives Office of West Sulawesi.
