Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK)'s Entry Meeting on National Library Financial Statements of 2019
Salemba, Jakarta - The Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) will conduct an audit of the National Library's financial statements for the fiscal year 2019. This activity was opened with an entry meeting at Salemba National Library on Monday (1/27).
The person in charge of the examining team, Lisa Sulistiowati WP, said that the examination is carried out as a basis to provide opinion on the fairness of the National Library's financial statements. This is done by paying attention on (1) the suitability of the financial statements examined with Government Accounting Standards (SAP), (2) the adequacy of financial information disclosure in the financial statements in accordance with the disclosures set out in SAP, (3) compliance with laws and regulations related to financial reporting, and (4) effectiveness of the Internal Control System (SPI).
Lisa hopes that the examination can run smoothly with the cooperation of all employees involved in the examination process. "In that way, the results of BPK's opinion on the National Library's financial statements can increase the accountability of the state financial management," she added.
The Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, who directly received the BPK Team, expressed his gratitude that the examination at the beginning of the year would make it easier for the National Library to complete a series of tasks in 2019.
"I have conveyed to all staff involved to open the widest possible access for auditors and prepare what they need," he said.
The examination by BPK will be carried out for 60 days, from January 27 to April 21, 2020 in the National Library in Jakarta and the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Library of the Proclamator Bung Hatta in Bukittinggi.
