Bandung, West Java - Witnessed by former Vice President, Muhamad Jusuf Kalla, Director of the National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando, together with the Rector of Institut Teknik Bandung (ITB), Kadarsah Suryadi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the East Hall of ITB campus, on Monday (1/13). The purpose of signing the MoU is to provide the broadest possible access for both parties.
The scope of the MOU between National Library and ITB encompasses the development of library resources and librarians, the development of a national master catalog (KIN) database and Indonesia OneSearch, the shared use of collection resources, scientific meetings, researches, joint publications, and shared services in the field library and librarianship; collection of Printed Works and Recorded Works (KCKR); as well as the expansion of the national scope library network. The signing of the MOU with ITB is part of the continuation of the MOU of National Library with a number of colleges/universities in Indonesia.
In addition to the signing of the MOU between National Library and ITB, a similar signing was made between ITB and Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Kalbe (ITBK). The MoU was held after scientific speech and the awarding of an Honorary Doctorate to former Vice President, Jusuf Kalla.
