National Library of Indonesia Hand in Hand with National Archives of Indonesia (ANRI) for Archive Guidelines

Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta-National Library in collaboration with the National Archives (ANRI) related to the making of archive guidelines. These efforts were made to create good archive management within the National Library. This activity is a follow-up to the MOU between National Library and ANRI.

"National Library must have a guide on making archive guidelines to be in accordance with the rules and regulations. Because archives are related to the existence, transparency, and sustainability of an organization," said Director of National Library, Muhammad Syarif Bando when meeting the acting Head of ANRI, M. Taufik, Monday (10/21).

Syarif Bando added that with good archive management, services given to public will also increase. It is impossible to serve optimally if you don't have a good archive.

On the same occasion, the acting Head of ANRI, M. Taufik, said that ANRI is ready to help National Library in better developing archive management. He hoped that archive did not merely fulfill the aspects of accountability, but had more tangible role. "We want to be part of the goal in order to educate the nation," explained Taufik.

This collaboration is a continuation of the MoU between National Library and ANRI on September 19, 2019. Both parties agreed that the collaboration between National Library and ANRI can educate public because the archive is a bridge of the past, present, and future.
