Oman Sultanate Holds Exhibition at National Library in November 2019

Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta-Director of National Library Muhammad Syarif Bando received an official visit of Deputy Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman Issa Ibrahim, Wednesday (11/9). On the visit Sultanate of Oman wanted to hold an exhibition at National Library in mid-November 2019.

In particular, Issa Ibrahim praised religious tolerance life in Indonesia. According to Issa, Indonesia is an example of a country that successfully revives tolerance so that there is hardly any conflict or dispute on behalf of religion. Whereas, Indonesia is inhabited by six government-recognised religions and various sects of belief.

Director of National Library explained that religious tolerance life in Indonesia had been running for hundreds of years. "Later in the exhibition, we will feature several collections about Indonesia's tolerance and diversity," said Syarif Bando.

At the coming exhibition, the Sultanate of Oman will exhibit the art of sand painting that will be a special attraction.

At the end of the visit, the delegation of Sultanate of Oman guided by Head of Library Cooperation Vira Farhana was invited to National Library facilities tour.
