Sagusaku, when 1,000 Teachers Writes Books

Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta - National Library of Indonesia and Indonesian Teachers’ Association (IGI) held “Satu Guru Satu Buku” or "Sagusaku" at Perpusnas Expo 2019 series of activities. Through this program, as many as a thousand teachers would write book. All books would be launched on National Education Day (Hardiknas) on 2 May 2020. Books from these teachers make them more competent in their field.

"From great teacher comes great student who later in the future will be able to build great nation and country, and educate the life of the nation," said Founder and Coach Sagusaku IGI, Nurbadriah at multi-function room on 4th floor, Perpusnas Service Facility Building, Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan No. 11, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (19/9/2019).

At the event, the teachers were pinned with sashes on their shoulders from National Library representative continued with the presentation of several books that have been printed to National Library representative. Meanwhile, Head of General Collection Services Division Lufthiati Makarim said she was delighted and proud to collaborate with IGI in Sagusaku event. This activity was useful to add insights and knowledge to produce interesting works.

The "Sagusaku" event was opened with dances from various regions in Indonesia, poetry musicalisation by students, and traditional costumes fashion show from all over Indonesia. Even if they did not perform like professional models usually do on red carpet in fashion shows, the participants' action was quite amazing.
